What people are saying.

  • Elise and Matthew’s input on how the creative process works gave us a new perspective on our everyday tasks. Even as creative professionals, used to working alone and in groups, they guided us towards a different way of approaching creative challenges. What do you do when you fall into a creative bottleneck for example? If you want to know… contact them! Besides learning strategies for increasing and sharing your creativity, the group will bond and truly enjoy the experience.

  • Matthew Suttor's professional development event was unexpected: more fun, more intellectually challenging, and less socially stressful than I anticipated. I discussed my scientific dreams with my work colleagues for the first time, which set me on a new path in my research.

  • Matthew facilitated a full-day retreat focused on creativity for scientists and administrators at our research institute. The morning session was highly engaging – it was exciting to see how quickly faculty and staff came together to generate and present new ideas. In the afternoon session, we shifted to reflecting on our scientific “dreams,” exploring the ambitious projects that we would pursue if nothing stood in our way. Matthew guided us through tangible examples for how to bring these visions to life. This exercise personally inspired me to think more deeply about my own “dream project,” and I am thrilled to say that I just submitted a grant proposal on this very topic last month! Perhaps the most remarkable aspect of the retreat was the environment that Matthew created – one where faculty and staff felt genuinely comfortable being themselves and speaking openly. His facilitation sparked important discussions that really brought the faculty and administrators together. Incredibly, some of the ideas that emerged led to significant structural changes within the institute that were formalized and implemented soon after the retreat.
